Pricing Operations Team Leader

Location: Toledo, Ohio - United States

The Pricing Team Leader leads a team of pricing analysts and pricing generalists who perform daily pricing activities in support of our business in North America. This role is accountable to lead the pricing team through translating the Business Price Strategy into Operational Excellence and Execution. This role is responsible for growing and developing a team of pricing professionals, along with serving as a catalyst for continuous improvement, waste elimination, and productivity enhancement.

The Pricing Team Leader is an integral partner in executing the pricing strategy. The position collaborates closely with each business segment’s commercial, finance team, and price strategy team and is a critical partner to treasury, customer service, and other internal functions within Owens Corning. The Team Leader is also an integral member of the Pricing NLT and has influence and impact across the entire pricing operations organization. The position reports directly to the Pricing Operations & Controls Leader.


Manage daily operations effectively & efficiently:

Communicate with impact, which engages and energizes employees in their daily work. Ensure visibility to and understanding of performance metrics, key messages, and daily priorities

Coach and develop employees to build a high-performance pricing team; set clear expectations and manage performance issues quickly; reward and recognize high performers

Determine operational priorities, resolve root cause and ongoing issues, plan resources accordingly and make decisions in a timely manner which involved the key stakeholders

Lead the team to achieve day-to-day performance objectives in support of the business goals, with keen emphasis on pricing operations being a competitive advantage in the market

Support financial objectives and align workload and resources to deliver strong financial results

Assure that the team has and is adhering to the defined processes and standard operations procedures to verify team members understanding or business and price methodology

Measure the right things to be sure the pricing team is executing the expected work, managing and verifying work, and contributing effectively to the business strategy and results

Lead & Partner with impact:

Know the markets that the pricing team supports to assure alignment within the team

Develop relationships with key partners inside and outside the organization

Translate each business segment strategy into day-to-day priorities and action for the pricing team

Provide pricing operations insight into each specific business segment to drive speed & accuracy for our customers and teams

Bachelors degree required

3-5 years pricing, finance, or related experience


SAP experience preferred
